DRM Channel's distribution network of 50+ centers was running on a Visual Basic desktop application from 2009. Data synchronization between centers took hours via FTP batch transfers, stock discrepancies were a daily occurrence, and there was no visibility into real-time inventory levels. The system couldn't be accessed remotely, forcing managers to be physically present to generate reports or approve orders.
Built a WebSocket-based synchronization layer using Django Channels that keeps all 50+ centers updated in real-time, eliminating stock discrepancies and enabling instant order routing.
Integrated Elasticsearch for full-text search across millions of SKUs, with aggregation pipelines for inventory analytics, demand forecasting, and turnover reporting.
Developed a React SPA with offline-capable PWA features, allowing field agents and warehouse managers to access the system from any device, anywhere.
Designed a phased migration strategy with automated data validation scripts that transferred 15 years of historical records with zero data loss.
